Symposium Information

The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine is proud to present the 'Frontiers in Medical Education HKU 2007' in December 2007 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of her medical curriculum reform and to celebrate 120 years of medical education in Hong Kong. The Conference will provide a platform for leaders of medical schools around the world to review the development of medical education and share good practices that shape the trend of reform in future. It is also an occasion for the HKU Medical Faculty to showcase our achievements in medical education reform in the past decade.

Call for abstracts

Participants are welcomed to submit abstracts on topics related to all aspects of medical education for oral presentation at the Free Paper Presentation Session. The presentation should be around 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions. The deadline for abstract submission is November 23, 2007. Please submit your abstract together with the registration form. Participants will be notified individually around 1 week after the closing date.

Registration Fee

HK$100 inclusive of coffee/tea and a sandwich for lunch.  Please send a cheque made payable to "The University of Hong Kong" to the Symposium Secretariat.  The registration fee is waived for staff and students of the UGC-funded universities, staff of HA hospitals, and alumni of the HKU Medical Faculty who have registered for the 120th Anniversary Dinner to be held on December 14, 2007.  A Certificate of Attendance will be available upon request.
