Professional Development Program in Medical Education

Organized for all new teaching staff of the Faculty, the PDPME is a day-long programme consists of a series of seminars and hands-on workshops that introduce the basics of teaching including an overview of the medical curriculum, student well-being services, outcomes-based approach to learning, what makes a good lecture, HKUMed e-learning platform, introduction to assessment methods and learning by inquiry. Parallel workshops are conducted for topics on what makes a good tutorials and bedside teaching in busy clinical setting. The programme also includes guided tours to the new Learning Commons, Medical Library, E-learning facilities as well as the multidisciplinary laboratory to showcase the new AR/VR equipment.
