HKUMed Teaching & Learning Mixer for Teaching Development Grant (TDG) Proposal Development
Seminar overview:
In recent TDG rounds, the Faculty has received many strong proposals, particularly in the areas of generative AI and educational technologies. However, many of these proposals overlap in focus and tend to have a relatively small scope, with their impact largely confined to individual courses. This fragmentation has limited opportunities to consolidate related ideas into larger, higher‑impact projects with longer‑term sustainability.
To maximise the chances of success in TDG bidding, ensure better value for money, and coordinate teaching efforts across the Faculty more effectively, we would like to encourage colleagues to pool closely related ideas into broader, more integrated proposals. In line with this direction, the Faculty will prioritise proposals with programme‑wide or cross‑disciplinary impact when providing endorsement for the University’s consideration. To facilitate idea sharing and collaboration at an early stage, the Faculty is organising an HKUMed Teaching & Learning Mixer for colleagues planning TDG applications.
