Professor Michael Kidd

Professor Michael Kidd is the current president of the World Organization of Family Doctors.  Michael is a family doctor, primary care researcher, medical educator and author. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Flinders University.  He is a past president of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was previously Professor of General Practice at The University of Sydney.  He chairs the Australian Government’s Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections, and is a member of the board of Australia’s national mental health initiative, beyondblue. He is the author of First do no harm – how to be a resilient doctor in the 21st century, a guide for doctors and medical students.
