"Under symbolic white coats, students of various healthcare professions work diligently day and night learning to care for people who are suffering. The chaotic and humbling journey exploring this immense and perplexing science, is represented by the various patterns of the cliff and the tininess of students. But under each white coat is human flesh; a person with the qualities of sympathy, care and understanding who also exhibits respect, dedication and passion. This is the foundation and driving force behind modern medicine."

This work was created as the capstone assignment in the MBBS Year 1 Medical Humanities Programme. We gratefully acknowledge Daniel whose artwork inspired the design of our conference materials.
